Happy Monday

Happy Monday

Oh, is it Friday? Lately, it feels like every day is Monday! What am I doing on Friday evening? Good question, I’m spending it lost in my collection! I mean, who wouldn’t want to dive into a pile of ancient newspapers, stare at dusty old drawings from Far Eastern artists, and leaf through a French war magazine that’s older than my great-grandparents? And let’s not forget the handwritten medical book from centuries ago, because nothing says “fun night in” like deciphering medieval medical jargon. Oh, and the pièce de résistance: a beautifully printed banknote from the Black Sea region. Truly, these are just a few of the riveting items that make my Fridays like parties!

I know you’re thinking I’m crazy, but who’s normal nowadays? Why am I collecting old papers? Well, the thing is, little details you’ll never learn in any school are hidden in old newspapers.

Time keeps repeating itself. All the accidents, massacres, and more a historical cycle.

Perhaps someone needs to break this cycle by fearlessly putting these unwritten words into the articles.

Having nothing left to lose I’m honoured to do this today. It’s not for the heroics but a great sense of pride as it’s time for some change.

Sometimes you can steer destiny. Sometimes you can determine which way a tree will bend.

Sports are detaching themselves from being mere quests for crowns, title racing events, or terrorist attacks, and returning to their former identities.

No massacre can be hidden behind a sport. And no criminal can be untouchable.

Take a look at the few screenshots I’m going to show you. You’ll find many familiar points with current events. You’ll say, “It’s like today, not 46 years ago.”

Today, I’m bringing this historical cycle to an end.

Happy monday and stay well.
