A Bit Of Reality

My pen is sharp and piercing today.

It tears through all the pages away.

The sun doesn’t warm,

The sky doesn’t illuminate me.

The trees are displeased.

The birds are unwell.

Blood-smeared water covers the oceans .

The once-familiar sounds of birds

from the echoing mountains are now replaced by

the screams of trees

and animals engulfed in flames.

People?

Huh.

Money has made them forget the passage of time.

They believe they are immortal.

However, one ticket in the same direction holds all their fate in their hands.

They believe that “hate” extends lives,

and they are unaware that,

Any war will have no victory.

They look, but don’t see.

They listen, but don’t hear.

They talk, but don’t stop.

I’m not sure what we should call them anymore.
