Lost

Lost in the voices of the race cars. My soul can’t carry anymore Selfish, jealous eyes, dirty mouths.

My wings are broken and eyes heavy

Among people, “a stranger” Around books, curious eyes The pen is my bestie. Lines are friends.

Lost among fake lights. Hate Your lights, that you pointed to my eyes. Your buddies, your lies.

I shut my eyes to those who couldn’t see me, And I turned my ears away From those who couldn’t hear me. Burned all the poems I wrote for people who didn’t deserve One by one You can’t catch me anymore

Songs wiped away my tears. Their melodies didn’t sell themselves like some doctors And on the nights I died of pain They were medicine to me

You called me just a woman, but I was a warrior. My soul wasn’t meant for fighting or being my own hero.

Hate that you called "love" a game. Put me around monsters. Hate that you killed the love. Well said, Steve Jobs: love. Love is “just a four-letter word.”

My wings are broken, and soul is bleeding.

And love And love is “just a four-letter word”.

The moon no longer lights the night, And the stars no longer dance for me. The nightmare there day and night.

Enemies surround me, People, cities, race cars and countries that have become enemies, Vying for power and being rulers.

Dynamites surrounded the world They set fire to the trees, Destroyed the homes and tainted the water.

However, I never wanted to be a show girl princess Nor a fighter.

I never wanted to be a show girl princess, Nor a fighter.

They took my time Days, months, seasons and years. They stole me.

However, I never wanted to be a show girl princess Nor a fighter.
